AL JAZEERA SHOWS VIDEO OF KIDNAPPED U.S. JOURNALIST IN IRAQ
Drudge has a picture on his site, doesn't look at all like the two in this thread.
Some of her stories are here.
She does express some deep feelings for the Iraqi's but not of any particular stripe. See what you think. My first instinct was kind of like yours but I felt a little differently after reading some.
She doesn't tout he administration line but she doesn't appear to be in bed with the terrorists like your typical MSM journalist.
Maybe I read too much right-slanted news to compensate for the MSM that I have trouble reading anything that appears to be down the middle.
Realistically, if the insurgency wasn't causing some trouble and if we hadn't made a few mistakes, we'd have this thing mopped up by now.
C'est la guerre.
Well, Blitzer's phrasing made me wonder. So did Carroll's demeanor.
Curses those damn arabs got another one... you think the journalists and reporters would start arming themselves already.....
Jordan is (and pretty much always has been) on our side, as much as any country has been in that part of the world other than Israel. I'm quite sure that Jordan, after suffering their own terror attack a month or so ago, has no interest on coddling terrorists.
Just more scorn to pour upon the face of the prophet and his minions.
Well..That is the most disgusting thing I have read.
If This woman is American. I dont care what she is doing. We have a duty to stand by her.
You give conservatives a bad name.
And yes..I am a Conservative....and a Human being.
We should drop a MOAB on Mecca if they kill her.
Why? I could see Pershing or MacArthur doing such a thing, in the day when men still had testicles. The Kabaa is the most sacred item in all of Islam. Were we to seize it, we could demand pretty much anything we wanted from Muslims worldwide.
We would have to shave each and every prisoner to find which are the females.
Man, have you heard the uproar from the "moderate" Muslim community?! It is incredible, unbelievable, and unprededented. Wow!
I Did notice CAIR called for her release. They just want to look "moderate". Don't listen to them, they aren't. They are all PR.
Ok. Mebbe she does look the same if you look past the head covering. Somehow, just seems like that black hijab, or whatever, after all the others I've seen on the ululating Palestinian chick ululating in celebration of 9/11 just kinda saps the endearing personality out of a girl.
The first reason is common sense: It just ain't gonna happen.
Second - it would be an unwarranted provocation against the majority of Muslims who are not a threat to our national interests. It would multiply the numbers of our enemy by a billion, stirring up a hornet nest, doing more harm than good.
Thirdly - it's in a totally different country. Going after Iraqi terrorists by attacking Saudi Arabia doesn't make any damn sense. It would destroy our international standing of the U.S., and our allies would abandon us. We need to expand our influence, not diminish it.
Were we to seize it, we could demand pretty much anything we wanted from Muslims worldwide.
We can pretty much demand anything we want now. Seizing the Kabaa will not improve our chances of getting it. It would have the opposite effect.
Then don't get a job working for a newspaper. It was her job. They sent her, she went.
Well if beheading men doesn't work and this doesn't work, will they resort to kidnapping children next? I wouldn't put it past the scumbags!
Note to "freedom fighters" - please take Cindy next!
Advise Carroll's captors the release of the female detainees will be in accordance with the condition in which they release the reporter, i.e., you do sushi, you get sushi.
Henceforth let us not detain any more "insurgents"--let them exsanguinate resisting arrest.
