AL JAZEERA SHOWS VIDEO OF KIDNAPPED U.S. JOURNALIST IN IRAQ
that's not the same girl...
cheek bone structure is very different
SHe's freelance not staff... which means she gets no help from anyone... Her last writings have been for Christian Science but she is not staff...
no
agreed
I couldn't agree more! That's why I don't understand why the bleeding hearts get worked up over a dog collar and leash!
Perhaps. Perhaps not. I have read a few of her reports. They don't seem naive at all to me.
Why doesn't the wire service say Muslim terrorist kidnappers instead of "abductors". Isn't this carrying PC a bit too far?
yeah, well, you can't blame her for those; she's just a young gal. My heart breaks for her. The idealistic young.
Well we can pray the negotiations are successful. These young kids are very naive and idealistic but it's not like dealing with Britain and other civilized countries. I think they should study some REAL truth about Islam before they embark on these little journalistic forays.
How come the MSM is sooooooo quiet about this?
My guess is that it's because she was working for the CS Monitor. Most MSM-types probably don't consider the paper a legitimate news outlet because of its affiliation with the church. It's sad to think that, but I can't see any other reason.
Thanks to everyone for their prayers!
Question, Freedom of the Press is a good thing but when Al Qaida sets up a Sat TV network why are we allowing these people a forum to spill their filth?
Jam their transponder, freeze them out, it is unacceptable in the war on terror we are ALL involved in, to expect these people to play by the rules.
Every indication I've seen is that the CSM is doing everything it can, and everything it would do for a staffer, whether they're legally obligated to do so or not. Editors don't want to lose someone on their watch more than anyone else, staff or not.
Besides, with so many America bashers, right here at home; they no doubt feel a 'solidarity'. . .with Hillary; even Bill since he is so 'disgusted' by the worst Adminisration in history. . .and then as well this week, we had Algore and Belefonte. . .and the usual cast of 'others'. . .who make news every evening; taking the side of our enemy while offering 'just short of damnation' to our Military.
It has got to 'puff' up' these people tto have their rightiousness so confirmed . . .and made news around the world as well.
Empowerment for terrorists. . .brought to 'you' by our Liberal Left establishment. . . .
BBC reporting that 6 of the 8 female prisoners in Iraq to be released early.
Thanks. . .well that is something. . .never thought about our 'giving up' here; but maybe they were coming out anyway. . .
. . .and given all the bad hype lately. . .overriding the good. . .and Repubs scrambling from Iraq 'heat' and Abramoff etc. . .it just seemed the wise thing to do?
Anyway. . .I hope Jill Carroll lives to tell about it.
But she better not come out with 'Stockholm Syndrome'.
How many Americans even know she has been taken, 10%?

WASHINGTON - An American Muslim advocacy group is traveling to the Middle East to plead for the safe return of a journalist facing death at the hands of her kidnappers.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations is planning to hold one news conference Thursday in Amman, Jordan, and another Friday in Baghdad. The group hopes to reach Arab television audiences and convince the captors of Jill Carroll, a freelancer for the Boston-based Christian Science Monitor, to release her.
"We're taking a serious step on behalf of our community, and we are hopeful that our words will be heard and our appeal will be listened to," said Nihad Awad, executive director of CAIR. "We have been reading about her work ... and though we don't know her, we know it is wrong to kidnap people and hurt innocent people."
Carroll, 28, was kidnapped Jan. 7 in one of Baghdad's most dangerous neighborhoods. She was being driven to meet a Sunni Arab politician, who failed to appear for the interview. Carroll's translator was killed, but her driver escaped.
The group claiming responsibility has threatened to kill Carroll on Friday unless all Iraqi women in military custody are released. A U.S. military spokeswoman, Sgt. Stacy Simon, said eight Iraqi women are currently detained. She provided no further details.
White House spokesman Scott McClellan said Wednesday that Carroll's "safe return is a priority" and he did not want to talk about it further because of the sensitivity of the situation.
CAIR, based in Washington, works to promote a positive image of Islam and Muslims in the United States.
PR whores... As far as these terrorist supporters go, I couldn't CAIR less.
Ibrahim Hooper is the usual mouth piece for these pieces of shiite (drop an i and an e for the true meaning). Odd, I always though Hooper to be a Jewish name...
wheres the Jill Caroll killed thread, linking to drudge who doesn't have any such news. must have been fake post.
