Prayers to him and his family. Pnuemonia at his advanced age is never good. I pray that he gets well.

Now, before everyone panics, lets remember the last "Ford goes to the hospital" thread where it turned out to be a routine visit. Jerry is a tough guy, I'm sure he will be ok.

He was in the hospital about 3 weeks ago with flu like symptoms.

He's probably at Eisenhower Hospital again in Rancho Mirage where he lives.

Sending prayers for President Ford and his family.

It may be getting to be his time.

A most underrated President. A man due respect.

Only one blemish I can point to - the Warren Commission.

Ford knows what really happened.

I hope he gets well.

I never realized how far left Ford was until I read an article saying if he is to only be remembered for nominating justice stevens that would be fine with him.

He wants his legacy to be that he nominated the great justice stevens in his own mind.

Ford and Warren Rudman both got their men on the court.

Souter and Stevens

Ford's blemish was nominating stevens.

We all make mistakes. Ike nominated two liberals but says that was his two biggest mistakes.

While Ford says his greatest legacy is the ultra left wing stevens.

Stevens has shifted the laws in this country to the far left.

I know after watergate it would have been impossible to nominate a conservative. But he could have at least nominated a moderate conservative instead of a left wing extremist.

Undoubtedly...that's where I've had my Dad (Gerry's age) for a couple of cardiac 'events'; I got one of the CCU nurses to show me the VIP suite that's more or less reserved for him.

Agreed. President Ford was underrated for his ability. The nation could only appreciate him the nono-second that Carter took the office. History will sing his praises if all his epitaph says "Don't blame me, I voted for Ford".

Then you must have missed the 3 years when he was President! Wear your W.I.N. button! It magically stimulates the economy! Beats taxcuts!
