"That's a lot of words.

For a tree"

You mean "ironing board", don't you? :>

Poor Al. He just doesn't get it that he's not even remotely close to 'relevant' any longer. Never really was. Never to be again. He and Gray Davis are have the personalities of ironing boards. Who do they think is listening to them???

Syonara............and good riddance from the political scene.

Thomas Jefferson said: "An informed citizenry is the only true repository of the public will."

Too bad the MSM does not care to inform the public. It acts as the propaganda arm of the DNC.

Did Gore mention how smart he was, when he broke the law, to use the defense: "No controlling legal authority"!

From one of the DUmmies on DU:
On January 16, Vice President Al Gore delivered the greatest example of oratory in my lifetime. The subject is critical to all Americans. His 5-point bipartisan plan to address the current constitutional crisis includes:

- Appointing special counsel to pursue the criminal issues of Presidential warrantless wiretapping of Americans

- Whistleblower protection for members of the Executive who report evidence of wrongdoing

- Comprehensive legislative hearings into the allegations of the President’s criminal acts.

- Refusal to grant an extension and enlargement of the Patriot Act unless it includes adequate and enforceable safeguards protecting the Constitution and rights of Americans.

- Telecommunication companies immediately cease and desist providing government access to private information of Americans without a proper warrant

It's wonderful. That the other side is so out of touch with reality, and so out of touch with the American Voter.

It's just freaking wonderful.

Great Caesar's Ghost!!! I thought my pastor could be a little windy! I wonder if Bush could hire Gore to give speeches to terrorists in Gitmo. I promise before he ever made it as far as this effort he would have them screaming agreement to any request if he would just SHUT UP!!!

>>>The unredacted report is being made available to congress.<<<

I wasn't aware of this. do you have a source I can quote to my CongressCritter in an attempt (probably futile) to get some of the 100 redacted pages released?

After reading this thought disordered drivel and madness, I just wanted to once again pray to thank God that this psychopath/buffoon did not get elected President. Thanks once again, Big Guy!

I take it, Gore and the left would also be the first ones to scream bloody murder if we were the target of another attack. No, on second thought, they would probably say that we deserved it.

Does anyone but Drudge actually pay attention to what Gore says?

Gore? Gore? I am trying to place that name? Was he one of the Three Stooges or was he the fellow that invented the internet?

Marines say 'semper fi' and democrats say 'Yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh'.

hmm... let me see:

How about the fourth amendment (I keep forgetting - the constitution only matters when it is convenient)

Or how about the National Security Act of 1947.

Sorry - you are right - these are just minor inconveniences - let's make sure we give up our liberties in the hope that it provides security.

It's not only the Constitution (which is not limited to criminal prosecution), but also additional laws passed by Congress specifically to keep US agencies from monitoring/spying on US citizens.

You have an excellent point - both the Democrats and the Republicans are guilty of infringing on personal liberties protected by the constitution.

The problem with your argument is that it can be taken to the point of having no individual liberties at all! With your argument, it could be deemed acceptable that there were police checkpoints monitoring travel within the US in the name of protection.

While some find the idea of government provided safety paramount (which is a fallacy to itself), myself and many others deem individual liberties to be the ideal for the world.
