Light off a tanker truck to close both sides of the freeway.
Great way to give yourself an open road on one side and a target rich road on the other. Go one exit down on both sides of the freeway. Drive down the open road side and fire on the traffic jammed side. Build yourself some frickin War Wagons. This will happen one day.

No kidding.
I hope this never happens but it's pretty damn low tech and it gives the bad guys a chance to get away.
I hate to say it but I'm writing the screenplay.

I'll be on the BQE this coming Wednesday. Hopefully this fire will help fill the potholes.

Problem is will the heat from the fire cause the supporting beams to soften and bend thereby making the highway unusable for a period of time. We will see soon enough.
