[Old Sarge]

Greetings, FReepers, Troops,
and All the Ships at Sea!

Reporting LIVE! from the Aerodrome in the rich bottom lands of the Euphrates River Valley, it’s the continuing saga of Sarge's Most Excellent Adventure!

And the trip home has gotten off to at least a starting step, as Sarge made it out before midnight last night on the last chopper out of Ramadi. Literally. Space-available is not the best way to travel...

So, here we find Sarge at the Aerodrome, waiting for the flight to Kuwait to kick off. This will be at least a two-day wait here, but at least the MWR hut has 24/7 Internet access - a big step-up from what was expected on this trip! Things have changed here, from when Sarge and The Kids came through here back in June of last year.

A few days of sleeping in tents, eating decent food that Sarge doesn't have to cook, having turned Lil' Bess over to the transient arms room for a three-week sleepover, and eventually, we'll get out of country - then out of theater - then back to the USA.

Sarge will be in the area all day, so Let's Have Fun!
