Apparantly so.
And no, Stephen did not turn me down on a part offer, I never offered him a part. What I did do was decide not to try to find money for the soft-X film that he attached his name to.
It's interesting that so many are so vested in the professed change of heart of somebody about whom you have no personal knowledge that you jump at the chance to label somebody who does know him a liar.
Believe whatever fits your idea of reality. Those of us who know him know the real deal.
The youngest...best known for playing Barney Rubble. I like him well enough but this Born Again - Crusader against Porn persona that his publicist is pushing is laughable.
Oh, okay.
The only one out of the bunch with any talent is the one that sometimes appears in Mamet films.
====================================
Gee, maybe because it's true. Let me ask you grandma, where do you live? Are you in the film business? Have you ever been in the same room with Baldwin? Do you know his family? Do you know people who have worked with him?
Why is this so important to you?
Actually, Daniel is a decent director (efficient and fast - crews like working with him). He's a genuinely sweet guy who in person is very endearing. The problem is that he is also a raving Bush hater and conspiracy theorist who just can't stay off the substances.
What movies did he direct?
When I say that Daniel's a decent director I am speaking from a producer's perspective. He is efficient and doesn't piss off the crew. That translates to getting things done on time and within the budget. Of course this was all five years ago. He's not so reliable since he moved back to the States (a nice little house in Santa Monica off San Vincente). His wife is getting the work and everything he's touched has turned to dreck.
First it's "stories" that persist.
8/24/04 post 49 I hope that Stephen is sincere in his conversion but the stories of hookers for him and his crew persist.
Then it's personal knowledge when challenged.
8/24/04 post 54 I've worked with Stephen in Montreal. This was a couple of years ago and the production had to pay for the "girls" that he and his crew went through.
And the dates have even changed from the post above.
1/15/05 post 61 and having a producer in Montreal pay for his on-set hookers in 2004.
First you've just SEEN the paperwork.
8/24/04 post 54 and the Snoop movie is real, I've seen the paperwork.
Then it's in your file.
1/14/05 post 60 And, I have a copy of Baldwin's letter committing himself to the project in my files.
It seems to be very important to you to be believed. But the stories progess from "stories" to personal knowledge. One-upmanship is always suspect.
Well, then, that "someone else" should follow Steven's model.
Some people don't belong in the movies (or any other "creative" environment). When they end up there by chance or circumstance, it usually turns bad.
The laughable aspect is that if you didn't need to believe the PR about his turn around you wouldn't care one bit and would be pefectly willing to accept the worst about him, just like his brothers.
I notice you couldn't answer my post. Just posted more libel.
"My own eyes. Believe what you will but ask yourself...why would I make it up?"
"Trust but verify." Ronald Reagan
Then go hang out with him yourself.
"And, I have a copy of Baldwin's letter committing himself to the project in my files."
Got a scanner? This is what I mean by verify. I'm not calling you a liar but would you believe me just because I said something and claimed inside knowledge? You may be 100% correct as far as I know but I don't think it's wrong to ask for a little verification or else it's just words.
"My own eyes. Believe what you will but ask yourself...why would I make it up?"
People make stuff up all the time. John Kerry was a war hero. Again, you're probably right for all I know but the "why would I make it up" argument can not be your best.
So, you're ok with people harrassing other people who aren't breaking the law?

I've heard that Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer led the lives of saints while on the set...they'd write sensitive poetry and seek out orphans to cure of diseases.
In spite of you believing that you're clever, I have no idea who those people are.
Movie producers of big budget action movies. One is dead. The other has a TV show called CSI.
