Jan. 13, 2006 — Today, according to Pakistani military sources, U.S. aircraft attacked a compound known to be frequented by high level al Qaeda operatives. Pakistani officials tell ABC News that al Qaeda leader Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden's top lieutenant, may have been among them.
U.S. intelligence for the last few days indicated that Zawahiri might be in the location or about to arrive, although there is still no confirmation from U.S. officials that he was among the victims.

Then when the traitors let the info out about listening to them, the time came to finish it off. I believe we were killing off the tenticles of the spider before taking the head off. If we would have killed off the leaders first, the followers would be spread out to cause trouble....but thanks to the DEM'S --- when the NSA info was leaked the gig was up and the head had to be removed, especially with IRAN stirring the crap now.

Well, that's just it. ROE varies from mission to mission, place to place. In this case, they were sent out to interdict fires being placed on nearby FOBs. They just happened to catch these hajis in the open, red handed and reported back for clearance to engage. It sucked to be the bad guys that night.
