I would settle for bearing right.
Besides, they're so far left that they really need to do a Uturn.

I can not see how the American Bashing Canadians will come to their senses and vote the Liberals out. They are basically socialists who hate both BUSH and our current efforts to save their ungrateful a$$.

Most of my family are Canadians and I would expect to see monkeys flying out of their butts before seeing them turn to the right.
They are mostly CBC indoctrinated socialist liberals with USA inferiority complex combined with excessive political correctness, cultural sensitivity and easy fear-mongered.

The author is listed as a columnist for the Seattle PI. Unfortunately, he's written the Liberal's next ad for them:
January 13, 2006
Seattle Press-Intelligencer:
The predicted result -- victory for the opposition Conservative Party -- would bring joy to the White House and Fox News.
Joy for the ultra-right wing Fox News.
Joy for President Bush.
We're not making this up.
Choose your Canada.
To: wmileo
Yeah, I think they are teasing us. When time comes to vote, the hatred of the USA and Bush will case them to vote liberal. If I am wrong, I'll publicly admit I was wrong. I am not a Canada basher, every Canadian I have ever met was a wonderful person. Then again, those were all "anglo" canadians...

A sharp turn?.. I don't think so.. Canadians are 99% pigs at the trough.. 1% maybe are upset at the grunting and shoveing .. but not at the government handouts..
Swine is as Swine does..

Gentlemen, what's happening up here is polarization. We have half the country gripped by the disease of leftism. However, the other half is swinging Conservative. These are the Canadians that do not hate America.
Our media would have everyone believe that we hate Americans. This is simply not true. The Canadians who tend to hate America are of the same ilk as Americans who hate America - the left.
The big problem is that these lefties both love and hate America. They are obsessed with Hollywood and it's various portrayels of America. These are the lefty Canucks who love Olver Stone, Susan Sarandon, et al. These Canadian lefties also have been inundated with American television shows like M*A*S*H since they were children.
I'm not blaming America. But unfortunately, alot of your media and hollywood has caused this. Don't forget, most of our channels are American. We watch just as much American television as you guys do. As for CNN, well, shoving that crap down our throats doesn't help.
But fear not, the grass roots Conservatism in Canada is growing, at a very fast rate. The Conservatives are ahead in the polls. Don't forget - we are a very Catholic and Christian country.

Canada's been on a port tack for so long, decades really, that they'd have to tack back to starboard uninterrupted for the next 15 years to be the country they once were.
Anyhoo, I'll take any "conservative" government that may spew less bile our way.

I'm absolutely sure a thoroughly corrupt party like the Liberals will be able to "get out the vote and then some,"
like the 'Rats here in the USA.
To: West Coast Conservative
More like the Tories have gone so far to the Left that Canadians can actually tolerate them.

The Liberal Party might be done for, but what about the New Democratic Party or the Green Party? Or the Bloc Québecois for those obnoxious French Canadians (double-whammy)? Vote splitting on the left is occurring. They have 4 parties of varying leftism. We have only one party that is Conservative. The left may have to do some serious party merging, but I think they are going to fracture even further.
