5th & Final Day of Hearings
This morning, the Senate Judiciary Cmte. convenes for a final session in the nomination hearings of Judge Samuel Alito. Outside witnesses who did not testify at yes- terday's hearings are given an opportunity to offer their opinions on the nominee. The Cmte. meets again to vote, either to approve or reject, on Tues., Jan. 17

With all due respect to Mr. Gray, that was one of the most meandering, boring, tendentious diatribes of the morning.
If the Dems are going to invite witnesses to speak to matters that have absolutely no bearing on Judge Alito's worthiness to sit on the SC, then you think they would at least ask a riveting speaker-like Joseph Lowery-to testify.
Was their game plan prior to these hearings to suck?
Because if it was, they're doing a splendid job of fulfilling that objective.

NARAL says that Alito will tip the balance on abortion laws that went 5-4 with O'Connor's vote being key!
This decision will impact HER life?
Even if her lurid fantasies of the Supreme Court overturning Roe-and forcing women into "back-alley abortions"-were an accurate reflection of reality, does she really expect us to believe that she's of child-bearing age?
