I listened to those Judges today and their testimony was nothing short of amazing. All I can say is that Sam Alito must be one fine human being

I think it truly telling and at the same time unfortunate that these hearings are not more widely televised.

I've done next to nothing the last couple days so I could experience one of these hearings (my first that I've paid full attention to) and find it absolutely apalling some of the things the democrat senators are allowed to do/say/imply/manipulate/distort from their fancy leather chairs.

There is no rule that the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee have to attend the hearings?

They can just show up to bloviate, and spew bile when they feel like it, then go crap off the rest of the day or something?

Well, that's good to know.

FWIW, here is a list of all the members:
Arlen Specter-CHAIRMAN, PENNSYLVANIA
Orrin G. Hatch-UTAH
Patrick J. Leahy-RANKING DEMOCRATIC MEMBER, VERMONT
Charles E. Grassley-IOWA
Edward M. Kennedy-MASSACHUSETTS
Jon Kyl-ARIZONA
Joseph R. Biden, Jr.-DELAWARE
Mike DeWine-OHIO
Herbert Kohl-WISCONSIN
Jeff Sessions-ALABAMA
Dianne Feinstein-CALIFORNIA
Lindsey Graham-SOUTH CAROLINA
Russell D. Feingold-WISCONSIN
John Cornyn-TEXAS
Charles E. Schumer-NEW YORK
Sam Brownback-KANSAS
Richard J. Durbin-ILLINOIS
Tom Coburn-OKLAHOMA

They actually bailed on the hearings because they didn't like what they were going to hear?

What a bunch of creeps. These people aren't mature enough to be in positions of power.

More reason to keep the interviews to 2 days.

This is sort of a mirror image of the Swiftvets' situation with Kerry. Here the seven people most closely associated with Alito all testify to his superb qualifications and credentials to serve as a Supreme Court justice. In the Swiftvets' case the large majority of the people who were most closely associated with him in Vietnam all stated he was "unfit to serve." In each case the MSM is doing its best to ignore the testimony.

Interesting that the Pubs are able to present a panel with over 200 collective years of appellate judicial experience at the highest level, all vigourously supporting Judge Alito. The Dems can only respond with an associate professor of law (not even a full professor) from the nation's most liberal law school, Berkley. Game over, man.

Just watched the video clip of Judge Barry. They best not mess with her... Judge Barry is one judge you don't wanna tick off. She'll knock 'em into the middle of next week before they realize what happened.

I cannot BELIEVE they were so RUDE to walk out on these judges testimonies!! ARRG! WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE! They must be the LEAST qualified people around. Ted Kennedy was asking for questions on his website. He can't think up his own questions? What exactly are these people paid to do?

The Democrats leave the hearing, and sanity returns to the room. Not a coincidence.

Michelle is right, this truly is extraordinary. Judges don't have to do this and typically don't.

Alito has a 15 year record as a distinguished judge that the Dims largely ignored. The fact they spent so much time talking about what he did as a college kid speaks volumes - they can't attack his record.

If any one these creeps get so much as one vote each when up for re-election, I'll hang my head in shame over my once-great country.

I hope America is watching very, very closely...

When those horses' a**es walked out, Spectre should've moved that the committee vote right then and there on approving Alito's nomination and sending it out to the full Senate. ('Course it's probably against Senate rules, but I can dream, can't I?)
