And they were right. However, they didn't stop letting the thugs push them around, and their cowardice resulted in their society being destroyed.
We're going to have to fight them sooner or later. Why do it when they're at their strongest?
They have a cadre of lawyers that can make paupers of any one of us. They can have you fired from a job with no power to respond. They dominate the institutions of this country. They are mega-wealthy and mega-evil. This talk about fighting them is grand and dandy, but where do you start? Which of our representatives would even endorse the views of this thread?
For awhile, it was coercion through an appeal to our tolerance, but there is no pleasing these people, any more than the radical black, hispanic, and feminist activists can be pacified.
As recently as August of 1976, we openly mocked and laughed at the "Gay Students Organization" table at the University of Arizona. We were 18 and full of testosterone, not envisioning a day when "we" would be the outcasts and "they" would be the power in society.
Think we can fight them? I'll bite. How?
