.... other Senator defeated the famous Republican Sen William V Roth, ..a relentless champion of tax cuts .... co-authored the 1981 Kemp-Roth tax cuts, ... creator of the Roth Individual Retirement Account...tax-free in retirement....

So the good citizens of Delaware booted out the great Roth to come up with Binky and the Brain? Jeez, it's getting worse than I thought down there. Fumes from Dupont and the Dover Race Track must be lowering the IQ of the natives.

CAP, unitary president, Vanguard

IS THAT TRASH ALL THEY'VE GOT!

If I were a traditional democrat, I'd be hiding my head in shame.

If I were a "moveon" democrat I'd probably be snorting something up my nose

or showing signs of slowing down

They say a sucking chest wound is nature's way of telling you to slow down.

I have read that he is a 'fairly decent guy personally', but he is not considered the brightest crayon in the box.

I've heard this about a number of the worst senators, but I have to reject it. You cannot say the things some of these men say in public and then pretend that it doesn't reflect on your honor and character. If we were a deuling society, honor would have required Judge Alito to challenge Kennedy yesterday, and I think Sammy would have cleaned the floor with him.

That is so gross looking. The other head I hate is Schumers, who must have had plugs put in to give him a hairline in front, so he looks sort of normal on TV but the whole back of his head is bald. Geez, these clowns ought to just go back to the powdered wig and stop grossing us out.

I'm surprised to find myself saying I prefer Alito's combover to prevalent Senatorial tonsorial practices, but I do. At least it's natural.

Oh, I know...I just wonder if he simply decided to use Teddy the Swimmer's thoughts and pass them as his own, just like he did for his 1988 campaign.

Joe Biden was elected by his relatives to keep him out of some family business. (Probably battery-raised chickens)

Actually, the family business was selling cars. I know this, because my grandfather sold his dealership to his father back in the 1940s! And granddad, a staunch Republican, made a nice profit at old man Biden's expense, I am happy to report. Biden was actually born in Scranton, PA, but moved to Wilmington early on and went to, appropriately enough, a private school, Archmere Academy.

All of the above and then some.

Biden's situation is much different, but no less complicated. He received only $1,250, which was a straight-up individual campaign contribution.

The Biden money came from one of 1,500 lawyers -- yes, that's one thousand five hundred, a scary number -- who work at Greenberg Traurig LLP, Abramoff's old law firm. G-T has offices in London, Amsterdam, Atlanta, Brussels, Chicago, New York, Zurich, Los Angeles, and, of course, Wilmington.

So, they each gave $1.20 to Joe Biden? Did Joe ask them if they had any change?

Well, they claim Thomas Jefferson as their founder, But up until the War for Southern Independence, things like ideas were still relatively new.........

I didn't know where to post, so I picked the first Biden thread I found. Did anyone hear the recording played on SAVAGE NATION tonight (thurs) where Biden is vehemently defending Ginsburgs right to refuse to answer questions that she might one day rule on??

He spoke with such arrogance and pomposity, the words that he said left me gasping for air after this weeks hearings. What a hypocrite, of epic proportions, and a partisan puppet with zero conscience. I couldn't loathe him more after this.

Does anyone have a link to that recording of Biden?

Heard about the Biden/Ginsburg thing----no link as yet. The pothead and the bonehead.....made for each other.

Judge Alito is so far superior----self-effacing, self-assured, the demeanor of a justice, and extraordinarily learned.
