I watched every minute of the Clarence Thomas hearings years ago. It was the thing that solidified my "escape" to conservatism.

I see these kinds of things as an "anniversary" of sorts.

I just heard a replay of Graham's statement on Rush. It actually brought tears to my eyes. It is heartbreaking to me how the dims are abusing the Senate's advise and consent role. I truly understand why Mrs. Alito was so affected by the statement.

She has been spouting off about body armour which the haughty French looking Senator who by the way also served in Vietnam voted for before he voted against it.

I wouldn't put it past the 'rats to do something similar but considering how they botched up during these hearings they will probably cut their losses now and fold their tents.

I dunno, you're assuming they have the sense to realize they've lost, and the maturity to deal with it...

Raw Story reporting filibuster highly unlikely!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF???? I really don't know what I am going to do, if the dems don't filibuster.

What are WE going to do?

Is there a massive call-in planned to the dem Senators?

I am truly scared.

Maybe, I am wrong, but this feels like the moment we truly cross the line into total dictatorship.

I feel helpless.

(And, yes, I have written my Senators to vote against him. Big deal. Kennedy and Kerry. They were already going to vote against him).

This sucks. I feel like moving out of America. This feels like election 2004 all over again!"

Hey girlie, your ilk have been threatening to leave America since Gore tried to steal the election in 2000. Do us all a favor and just... leave!

It is so good to be an American today.

"Don't forget that Justice Thomas was on his way to confirmation after his nomination was sent to the floor when NOW popped up Anita Hill."

N.O.W. must be very worried right now!

Is this mornings session easy to encapsulate in a few words, or should I wait for reruns?

Not worth watching. ;-)

Because you can disagree agreeably when you have a rational set of beliefs and principals. When ALL you have is an irrational emotions based hate for your political foes, as the DUers do, your foes are not wrong, they are "evil" and cannot be allowed to exist, much less win. The only difference between your average Hitler Youth and a DUer is the Nazis got the opportunity to act on their hate, the DUers haven't.

Chuck54 provided this link and it gives you what the line of questioning was looking for, but it's prettied up

So for every Dem, just think that the writer automatically left off "you lying liar who tells lying lies" and you will get the tone as well. BTW they didn't say this, okay Moby Dick did, but others just inferred it.

Thanks for the recap! I just got here, too. Once again work is interfering with my personal life.

Since Aruba went off the radar screen Brit has been seeking a replacement hook.

Frankly, I'm dismayed at his doom and gloom attitude towards this confirmation hearing.

Yesterday Rush had information on the CAP issue long before a word of it was spoken on FNC.

But not a peep outta Hillary about Alito...Gee, wonder why not. Instead she's letting her colleagues on the committee catch all the flack. What a REMF.

LOL.

That sounds about right.

I liked Roberts. I like Alito. I am thrilled with the way the court is shaping up. And although I am not a Baby Boomer, I am glad to see that Baby Boomers now have people on the bench, and in leadership positions that they can be very, very proud of. Scalia, Thomas, Roberts, Alito....I can't wait to see what comes next.

Thanks.

I agree! As a matter of fact, I would be willing to donate money to assist them in the mass exodus.
