Thanks for posting this excellent article. It gets all the facts together.

It also makes a stab at explaining the love of the left for Islam, something that is nearly inexplicable because, as even Ron Kuby acknowledged, the Muslims would put all the leftists up against a wall and shoot them if Islam ever got into power.

I also think that it can be explained by the fact that the leftist personality is one that desperately desires to be subject to some ultimate authority, be it Stalin or the latest nutcase mullah. Leftists are fundamentally very weak and do not like the responsibilities of freedom. Hence, their continued search for the "strong man" or the all-powerful ideology.
