There are an awful lot of people across America enjoying the 'global warming' this week. Except the heating oil folks, of course.

What about the "baby ice age" they had around 1500, I saw the History channel last week?

What happened to Global Warming®? Or is this one of those "nuance" things Kerry lectures us on, where Global Warming® is causing an Ice Age?

Excellent post: I have said for years to the global warming lemmings (brainwashed by the idiot liberal lying media) that the greatest risk to civilization is a new Ice Age. It is long overdue, and human activity may be partially preventing it from re-starting.

Two things, weather does not equal climate, and, I've got a house here outside of Montreal, Do you want to buy it before it's under two miles of ice?

In the last ice age, Montreal in Canada was under two miles of ice. NY was less than 400 feet of ice. Hmmm...better not say it...wouldn't be prudent.

"""The terrestrial civilization cannot survive the mega ice age that comes every 105,000 years. In that case the ocean levels will fall by 500 feet on an average. The whole earth will be under deep ice."""
Methinks this is a crock. If the above statement is true, please explain to me why evidence of mass global extinction events does not exist for these periods and how species including plants and animals that are ten times older than that are still here.

And here I thought we were worried because the ice shelves where melting and the ocean was rising. One week it is the hottest summer ever on record...oh no, green house effect and global warming, the next we are being told it is colder than ever and a new ice age is coming.
These people should really get together and get their stories straight if they ever want people to buy their propaganda and follow their big government agenda.

"In that case the ocean levels will fall by 500 feet on an average. The whole earth will be under deep ice." Nope, not true. I'll be moving to Sundaland when the land begins to come out of the ocean there.
This is where humans thrived during the last Ice Age.

Is a feedback mechanism at work in earth's climate system that causes these cycles? Some like to point to possible variability of the sun [very common among stars] as the cause, others hypothesize some cloud of interstellar dust that the solar system passes through periodically. Some look at cyclical changes of the currents in the Atlantic Ocean as being the root cause. In any case the Left will adopt to an Ice Age immediately and ignore any consequential antinomy of their belief system.

The 11,000 year cycle happens because of increase and decrease of cyclical underwater volcanic eruption. The 105,000 mega ice age happens because of the changing shape of the orbit of the earth around the sun circular to elliptical and then back to circular every 105,000 years.Guess these people didn't get the memo about SUVs!
I have a house in sunny south Texas that's getting ready to go on the market. Ant takers?

On the other hand, it's been way warmer up here in Minnesota this year. It's going to hit about 40 degrees ABOVE zero today and tomorrow, and we haven't had a below zero day since December sometime.
Right now, we should be having our usual -10 degree to -20 degree couple of weeks. Instead it's 40 degrees, for Pete's sake!

Heard on Fox this AM that most of the country is enjoying warmer-than-normal temps across the board. Seattle's on its 22nd day(?) of rain today as well.
Bring on the ice age! It'll give me a reason to bust out my oversized ski jacket (I live in Florida).
