Questioning Begins Today
Each of the eighteen senators on the Judiciary Cmte. will have 30 minutes to question Supreme Court nominee Samual Alito today during round one. Sen. Arlen Specter, as chairman, will begin, then they will alternate by party in order of individual seniority. Round two starts on Wednesday.

It's great fun to watch Kennedy read every single word he utters. Even more fun to see that he doesn't even listen to what Alito is responding, so anxious is Kennedy to get on to the next section of his script.
Kennedy's writers made sure a false accusation is included in every soundbite.
Oh how I wish Alito could respond to Kennedy by saying, "You know you aren't going to support me no matter how I answer your questions, so if you don't mind, I'll take my potty break while you're reading your false indictment of me."

Its obvious how passionate the democrats are on defending the search/siezure rights (of Terrorists), and on attacking police warrents trying to arrest drug dealers.

Alito said there is no law precluding searching of 10 yr olds and if there was it would cause further child abuse by allowing drug dealers to hide their drugs on children. This is not an exact quote, but is the gist of his answer.

I'm just sad that we have to wait weeks for the Senate to confirm Alito and watch the Dems tear their hair out about what failures their efforts were.
