Just joining in- not sure when questions started this morning. Had to take children to schools.

Did I miss anything good?

Is there a ping list for these live thread thingy's? If so, may I be added to the list?

Specter: "Let's not forget to start the clock."

Kennedy won't get any traction from the "broken promise" to recuse from Vanguard cases. Of course Alito remembers the case was related to Vanguard, if he forgot anything, it was the "promise."

Plus, Alito eventually did NOT rule on the case - he passed the case to another panel of judges. The only argument Teddy has is that Alito breaks substantive promises, and that argument doesn't wash with this fact pattern.

Alito broke his "sacred" pledge which shouldn't have even been made in the first place! Is this really what the Dems want to spend their time on? God they are dumb.

DU is eating this up & loving it. That's who The Orca is keeping happy!

"Ahleeoto just reinforced his conservative philosophy by saying that judges should try to look at a narrow perspective instead of a broad perspective in making judgment."

Yes. And that is exactly what is needed on the bench. Many of the other Supreme Court Judges use such a broad spectrum of philosopies they end up confusing themselves and the rest of the country.
