ALITO CONFIRMATION HEARINGS
Questioning Begins Today
Each of the eighteen senators on the Judiciary Cmte. will have 30 minutes to question Supreme Court nominee Samual Alito today during round one. Sen. Arlen Specter, as chairman, will begin, then they will alternate by party in order of individual seniority. Round two starts on Wednesday.
IMHO, I wish Feingold would stop HIS OWN NON -STOP AUDITION for the USSC....
ISN'T THAT CORRECT!!!!!??????
LOL!
This won't work on this guy, he's been in the lawyer business way to long to get tripped up by someone like Feingold. Who, by the way, thinks he's going to get Alito because he's tired. Rots of ruck!
Now you really have to write her. :-)
Looks like those "people" would just love to take a bite out of their own knuckles. Shows how bright they are.
He was surprised, until his colleague told him that was just the reflection of the Sun glinting off of Schumer's gigantic bald spot.
Oh boy- here comes Hatch! LOL
Egad! Thanks for the update. :-)
I want to know if any of the Dems have stock in Vanguard...
Their constant mentioning of the name of the company is going to send the stock up a few ticks in the short run and they'll benefit from it...
LOL! Biden's hair looks like a hawk's head.
and another anonymous source for the New York Time.
I call it Universal Right of Way Disorder. The more in the wrong he is, the bigger jerk he will be about it, complaining all the way.
REALLY.....whoa, I didn't get to hear her show today..
Did she mention how she feels about the dems going after Alito for that??
maybe that effing POS should divest in vanguard if he's so concerned??
LOL LOL LOL! Priceless!
The more Feingold talks the more he makes a jerk out of himself.
Now Russ is accusing Alito of being defensive, but a charge of unethical conduct, as Alito points out, is serious and should be reviewed. And now we learn that the case was reheard again - entirely new appeal.
Hatch doesn't need to bring up the question about "initial service." The better answer is "I ws charged with unethical conduct, researched it, concluded I was not (and all objective reviewers agree), but gave the parties a rehearing anyway."
Anyway, the accusation is that Alito lacks integrity for breaking a 12 year old promise to the committee. If a Senator is bugged by that, the vote accordingly and give that reason.
