Does Kohl have a thought on his own or does he just read the questions for the Democrats and ACLU lawyers?
To: Do not dub me shapka broham
Self-awareness for a dim is inbred. Alito is giving good answers....Ol King Kohl can only sit and stare!

Thanks for your info on this. My extremely limited computer at work prevents me from getting streaming video, so I'm having to rely on my fellow FReepers for info on what's happening.
It kills me that I'm missing this! (Maybe I should take some time off...)

He is in command of the facts and is the intellectual superior of every Senator there.
#####
Plus, he has been listening to lawyers for 15 years trying to persuade him. If that isn't practice for listening to these bloviators for a few days, then nothing is.
PS: Bloviators does not spellcheck!

THE FAMILY LEAVE ACT IS ONE THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE OF SOCIAL LEGISLATION IN HISTORY?? (Sorry for yelling.) That just about sums up the sheer vapidity of the Dimocrats. That was/is the WORST piece of lazy ass, anti-employer, anti-constitutional, anti-capitalist piece of legislation ever written.

They have nothing so their staffers collect ideas from their buddies, polish it up and offer them as legitimate questions.
To: Jrabbit
And now he's trotted out the ever-popular Family and Medical Leave Act for the umpteenth time
They really need to start a drinking game.

Agree to a point, but if this type of testimony is necessary to get a person of this character and quality on the Supreme Court, then I say,
"Do whatever is necessary".Probably some disagreement on this, but just MHO>

Alito is lying through his teeth.I know, that's what bothers me about 'modern' nomination hearings. Alito saying he agreed with Bork would have been fine years ago before he was savaged by the Libs who then sold their PC bill of goods for the next twenty years or so.
But now, nominees must dance around the truth (or worse) to get the votes they need.

Kohl trying to get Alito to trash the SCOTUS' involvement in Bush v Gore as 'judicial activism'.
To: Do not dub me shapka broham

The question about bringing the Bush/Gore vote to the Supreme Court...
Uh, who started that fiasco? Who challenged who?
