ALITO CONFIRMATION HEARINGS
Questioning Begins Today
Each of the eighteen senators on the Judiciary Cmte. will have 30 minutes to question Supreme Court nominee Samual Alito today during round one. Sen. Arlen Specter, as chairman, will begin, then they will alternate by party in order of individual seniority. Round two starts on Wednesday.
It's a modern day miracle!
``but who strip searches a 10 year old girl? ```
Every drug dealer in America must have loved that answer.
So Justice Stevens is the only really elderly justice, and Ginsburg's health is questionable (poor woman--colon cancer too???). I don't want either of them dead, just off the court. Preferably tomorrow.
Of course, if President Bush does get a chance to nominate another candidate, I'm not sure I'd be able to handle that much excitement!
EXACTLY !!
Rush reports that James Golden knows somebody there at the hearing and that the reporters covering the hearing are absolutely livid because the DemoncRATs haven't been able to do anything to Alito yet.
I will admit it....I would LOVE to know that I was being hired because I was "eye candy"...
Unfortunately...THAT was never an option for me! LOL
Wow, he sure don't look it.
if you just type like you do in ms word, links become live now
no formatting at all......no < or > or p or i..........just plain type.
But the one moment when Alito said that he disdains all women who choose abortion after five months or more was a real surprise.
Just kidding.................
:-)
You found me out! :-)
I saw it too. One of the Lib lawyers said the Dems should change the order and let Chuckie go next. IIFRC, it goes in order of seniority alternating between Rs & Ds after the Chairman: Specter, Leahy, Hatch, Kennedy, etc.
Judge Ginsburg must be the most unattractive woman in the world.
Alito and Roberts are men in a class of their own. They are very different than small men like a Biden or a Kerry who are in politics because they don't have the creative talents that allow them to be excellent at anything significant. I'm not saying that the office of a US Senator is not significant, I'm just saying that there are few people in the Senate that are the best and brightest of us all.
Imus is a groupie.
I think Helen Thomas could give her a run for her money.
"How many of you would secretly LOVE to be hired for a job because you were 'eye candy'? "
This kind of question, posed by whomever, is totally beyond insulting. I would guess that any woman would just as soon, "throw up" as have men gawk at her. "Am I right, ladies? RSVP
Thanks for the synopsis. This is the first chance I've had to check in.
Ya think they'll follow his advice and put Schumer up next..?
LOL! I didn't know that they made glasses that big these days.
