He's my idea of the funniest man in AmericaNot mine.
Some of the funniest people in America are right here on FR and they don't have writers!

I never understood why people think Letterman is funny.

This is great and reminds me of Zell...
"I see a picture of a neighborhood, on a nice cul de sac, happy and contented. One day a nest of rattlesnakes is discovered in one neighbor's backyard. Several neighbors insist on going in together and wiping out the nest, before the snakes inevitably slither into the other yards. In this instance, which is most important? Is it privacy or wiping out the snakes, before every home is afflicted and people unnecessarily die?
Why are we in Iraq, Dave?
BECAUSE WE'RE AMERICANS AND AMERICANS KILL SNAKES BEFORE THEY KILL US!"

I used to like Letterman, but no more. I'm tired of his smug, smarmy, condescending and pseudo "eccentricities" and the usual media anti-Bush flippancy.
"Some of the funniest people in America are right here on FR". True.

Letterman has access to 100% of the same information as BOR or anyone else, but chooses to ignore it, and 100% of what Letterman says is 100% crap.

I never understood why people think Letterman is funny. Ah, ...because he's not! He reminds me of the nerd in the back of class that told pee-pee jokes, trying to be one of the gang.
I also didn't like how he screwed over Carson, who pushed him along at NBC.

I'm sorry you have to watch our American TV. I'm trying to quit. ;-)
To: Bender2
LOL!
Unfortunately, the president provides way too much fodder for them since he isn't the gifted communicator Reagan was, or the charmer Bill Clinton is.
Lordy! BC a charmer? That "I feel your pain" line had the effect of wanting one to take a long hot shower to rid one's self of cooties.
