Speaking of poor Juan, I caught him last week on the O'Reilly show, actually defending GW Bush against David Letterman's attack.
Juan seemed incredulous that Letterman was using the argument that the President pointed out that the U.S. was not the only intelligence agency that believed Saddam had WMD. Juan was critiquing Letterman for using a tired argument that Juan himself has made repeatedly.
My theory is that Juan had to go on air without his talking points and actually had to engage his brain for once.
LOL! engaging his mind? was there smoke on the set?
LOL!
Juan must have been in heaven... he can't take on Kraut or Kristol....but Dave must have made him feel like he could really do it! (the little mind that could....*chug chug chug*)
Juan does follow talking points at times, but he's a real person and does have a good sense of humor. I was surprised that he argued that there was a culture war, although I think that he had previously argued that there is no war on Christmas. I can see how he might reconcile the two.
IMHO I think at times he goes way over the top in an attempt to emphasize his point but instead of doing that he makes himself seem very stupid and foolish.
