The chairman of a state Senate committee investigating voting irregularities says it might take two to three weeks to make a final recommendation on whether Ophelia Ford should be seated in the Senate.
But Chairman Mike Williams says he'll ask in the interim that Ford take the seat provisionally.
Ford won a special election by 13 votes to replace her brother, former Senator John Ford, who resigned after being indicted in a federal public corruption case.
Williams noted the need for more information before making a final recommendation.
Republican challenger Terry Roland is contesting the election outcome and his attorney says they've found irregularities including at least two votes cast in the names of dead people, several convicted felons and one person who didn't live in the district.

Come on now folks. You have to have votes to win elections, and it is even more necessary if you are replacing a corrupt family member.
What's wrong with dead voters? They are the 'yellow dog' Democrats. And they spend a lot of money.

When the likes of Howard Dean, Teddy Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, Durbin, Hillary!, Schumer, etc.etc., puke, puke, can be elected, I'd say a lot of voters are pretty darn dumb indeed!;)

The "Demon-crits" are masters of voter fraud and theft. With them, the end always justifies the means. The Dims are totally corrupt liars, thieves and cheats and always have been.
I'd imagine that my city of Pittsburgh PA has its share of "six feet under" voters.

Yep. 8AM, 10AM, 2PM, 4PM, 7PM, then at 9 they bitch that they were disenfranchised.
99% turnout at polling places observed to have far less that 20% actually show up at the polls. But don't videotape, or request ID, 'cause that will keep 'em from turning out.
