In other news, Publius6961 has announced that he has no firm evidence that the Federal Government has been listening in on his telephone conversations. He also denied speculation that government eavesdroppers have fallen asleep from boredom while monitoring his phone calls and checking his book orders from Amazon.com.

Being simply an ordinary citizen, and not having spoken with terrorists on the phone in the past, it is a lot more outrageous that his civil rights have been trampled on so thoughlessly.

Certainly it's a lot more serious than tapping the phones of Amanpour and Dan Rather...
