JERUSALEM Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, the most powerful Israeli leader in 50 years, has died. He was 77.
Sharon was declared dead by physicians at Jerusalem's Hadassah Hospital before 1 p.m. Israeli time [6 a.m. EST], Middle East Newsline reported. Authorities have already been notified of the death, and a government announcement was expected to be issued over the next hour.
Isn't this a bit exaggerated? At least as of last minute's radio broadcast.
The only one saying he is dead is The World Tribune and Drudge report, which is using the World Tribue.
May he finally find the rest that the Jews can never seem to find in this life. Farewell, Mr. Sharon, and thanks. I pray for the peace of Israel.
Francisco Franco: still dead. ;)
Drudge just changed his headline to: "CONFLICTING REPORTS ON CONDITION OF SHARON".
Hey Michael; good to see you! And congrats on the new Chancellor! :)
All of the Cable News outlets are covering the Miners Medical News Conference - Nothing about this.
World Tribune is normally about as reliable as DEBKA.
Same here, (misty eyed) IMHO he was the last chance for peace. Dealing with these islamoidiots must have been difficult and has taken it's toll.
this figures. does anyone in the media actually get proof before they post something? evidence be damned, we must be first to report!
Wasn't me this time. Promise.
I wonder if President Bush will go to the funeral. For goodness sakes, if he does, I hope he doesn't take Bubba with him.
Wires don't have anything on this -- they all say that Sharon is out of surgery and ailing, but not dead...
Thanks, she´s doing good - although she´s somewhat tied by the socialists in her cabinet.
Prayers for Israel´s future sent!

Life goes on, and Texxon is there...
Because Buckwheat would have wanted it that way.
Still none of the other news outlets are reporting his death.
I speculated last night that there would be an attempt to keep him alive long enough for a transition to take place. Someone has to be in charge to avoid the appearance of weakness that the Palestinians would try to exploit.
What do you base your opinion on? He threw 8500 Jews out of their homes for what? Are the Arabs now willing to accept a Jewish state? Is the world?
