The Rev. Pat Robertson said Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is being punished by God for dividing the Land of Israel. Robertson, speaking on the “700 Club” on Thursday, suggested Sharon, who is currently in an induced coma, and former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, assassinated by an Israeli extremist in 1995, were being treated with enmity by God for dividing Israel. “He was dividing God’s land,” Robertson said. “And I would say, Woe unto any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course to appease the E.U., the United Nations or the United States of America. God says, This land belongs to me. You better leave it alone.”
That's what I was thinking. Last time I read it, it said that. I'm not sure what it says would be the situation after the return from the diaspora which I believe has happened in our times.
I am cognizant of modern statesmen having to walk a fine line with reality and other religions.
And it is not PC to say in public anything controversial in the bible, just love your neighbor PC things now, a little reivisionism here, and little revisionism there, itching ears and all.

I don't believe in Robertson's political views on a lot of things, including Israel, but he in unfairly maligned most of the time.

no mention of the Iranian beardbrain's comments on Sharon.

I was one of those people who went to bed at 230 AM the night before last, happy that a miracle had occurred in Sago. I woke up in the AM and found that twelve miners had died...and that the news media HAD TO KNOW that something was wrong, when only one ambulance left the mine site for the hospital. Duh! Rumors were flying at the site, but for three hours, the media continued to broadcast the same film of happy families.

For some reason God is now impotent when it comes to punishment, but active when rewarding people who win the lotto.

God is in control now unless something bad happens, then suddenly God is no longer at the wheel.
I guess it is wishful thinking on these RINOs part. They desperately want to think that they will never be punished no matter what they do or say.
Do I think that Sharon was punished by God? Hmm, maybe, that is God's business. Do I think God is sovereign? In control? The king of heaven and earth? YES.
Do I think Sharon capitulated and kissed Islams ass by turning over GAZA? YES. By doing that do I think he worsened the predicament of the Jewish people, YES.
Will I pray for him? No, not much. If any. Why? Because I do not know him. I would sooner pray for Bill Clinton or Michael Moore.
I believe that it was done under King Solomon.
