On January 4, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. (PST) the Rose Bowl Game will host the BCS National Championship, between USC and Texas once again showcasing the best of collegiate football in "The Granddaddy of Them All."® The Rose Bowl will be broadcast exclusively on ABC and on ESPN radio.
Cause he never had any.
THATS AN INTERCEPTION
I agree!
INTERCEPTION!!!!
INT!
50" plasma here and it was all over the ground. Refs must be reviewing on b/w 6". And now here we go with another review. YAAY UT got it this time!
It was caught out of bounds because the player was from Texas.
In!
Uh.....Mr. HR is outraged at hearing Keith Jackson read a promo for a new ABC bed-wetter show: "every year THOUSANDS of Americans are wrongly convicted..."
He's having a coronary and ordering me to get on FR and express his outrage.
Quite amazing how the whining about officials is coming from UT rooters. I was at Rose Bowl last year, in middle of UT Foundation section, and they were so VERY gracious to this Wolverine fan. /sarc
That WAS an interception. These refs are HORRIBLE! (But I knew it would be like that before this game started).
Midol? Good for cramps? *fit of laughter* Riiiight...
Interception? Is it ONE foot in or BOTH feet? *can never remember the rule*
LOL!!!
I wish it weren't true - but I can't cook to save my house!
I think I brought all my fire extinguishers to the hangar when I moved. BAD MOVE!!!
LOL!!!
A totally blown call with the dumbass official staring right at it. How the hell can he call that incomplete? Out of bounds I could understand.
nope.
I am still working on my GECs to go to OSU.....saving money and all that.
My brother is though.
WHY?
OSU has a very good Engineering program.
Should go to the 20 yd line.
In this case fan support etc had nothing to do with it.
As Mike pointed out, the rules mandated all the team picks this year. The six conference champions got automatic bids (that's why FSU is in there). For the two at-large slots, the picks were mandated. If Notre Dame (or any "other" D-1 independent) is in the top 6, they must get a bid. Any team that did not win its conference but is in the top 4 must get a bid. As OSU was #4, that cemented their bid.
So it wasn't a matter of snubbing anybody this time. We all may quarrel with the rules, but they were applied as written.
one foot college, two NFL
The trojan cheerleaders still compete in pain. What troopers.
Barry Sanders didn't even know what play was called...
