On January 4, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. (PST) the Rose Bowl Game will host the BCS National Championship, between USC and Texas once again showcasing the best of collegiate football in "The Granddaddy of Them All."® The Rose Bowl will be broadcast exclusively on ABC and on ESPN radio.
Guess this means I'll have to cheer for the home team
Number One USC!!
3 Peat!
3 Peat!
Well didn't you know that was USC's 10th game in a row. They were just tired. LOL
Now my boys took care of business rather handedly Friday night, now it's y'all's turn.
No! you mean a 2-peat and one meaningless liberal media award.
LOL, aww come on now, you're not worried are you? :-)
Nope :)
BTW, welcome to Free Republic! :-)
any score yet?
I don't know which was worse for Miami, getting their asses handed to them on the field or getting their asses handed to them in the tunnel... LMAO
Well being in PA I've seen WVU play every week I knew they wouldn't be a push-over, and the War Chicken's can go to hell...
I think they're spotting Texas 21 points to keep it interesting. /antagonizing UT fans
This is going to be one game that will have lots of viewers.
It's going to be a good one.
Hope so. I'm really looking forward to it, but I'll be happy when it's over too. Then we can finally let go of all the anticipation and trash-talking and can begin the remembrance and gloating/lamentation.
I didn't get tickets to it, but friends who did for about $300 were offered $3000 each already.
Big game.
If USC wins (and they should), I wonder how long next years winning streak could go with missing people that made this year so exciting.
Special teams and defense will be the difference; Texas will win in a rout. USC is riding on it's record (and duly so) but if ever there was an insurmountable roadblock to a winning streak, this is it. That brick wall they're about to hit is burnt orange.
Can't wait till tomorrow night!
And they were mostly freshman.
My favorite picture from Friday
LSU loses Addai, 7 defensive starters (assuming Landry leaves) & loses 3 off the OL
All I know is that I was already damn sick and tired of the ridiculous hype since before Christmas. I hope USC loses if for no other reason to embarass the media, led by ABC/ESPN. They've been shamelessly pimping USC all year, not to mention rewriting history with all the talk of a "threepeat;" (no such thing, USC is only going for its SECOND BCS title, not it's third, but you wouldn't know that from the media).
I hate Texas too. Best case scenario would be a meteor strike on the Rose Bowl, but failing that, Hook 'em Horns.
