On January 4, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. (PST) the Rose Bowl Game will host the BCS National Championship, between USC and Texas once again showcasing the best of collegiate football in "The Granddaddy of Them All."® The Rose Bowl will be broadcast exclusively on ABC and on ESPN radio.
Field goal good, 43 yards, season high for kicker.
Not bad, for a half.
I didn't think so
Setting up for the FG
It's good.
43 yards :02 to go to the half.
Good kick...
Probably longest of the year....USC hasnt needed to kick much.
I had a wonderful Christmas with those grandgirls and the grandboy. :-) The girls got Longhorn shirts. :-) Their mama didn't like that too much. She said I'm brain washin' 'em. heh heh heh
Obvious holding but no flag in sight.
Yeah...no joke...the guy had his hand wrapped up in his facemask...
Don't worry...USC will come out flying in the second half.
it wasn't directly helment to helmet...
The texas defender his the shoulder pad on the way by....
Yeah, I'd score about another 40 points if I was Texas. See you get gored in the second half. :)
I will have an HD one tommorow.
That would seem to be the only reasonable conclusion. Otherwise the loss of the ball could be considered to be a fumble.
SC will be a threat in the 2nd half. That's the way their season has been.
When any part of you hits the ground, other than your hands or feet, the play is over, that's the rule. Once you're on the ground it doesn't matter if you have the ball or not.
Thank Goodness.... was worried about that PSU rookie kicken for me here, Fight On.
you both are wrong.
The ground cannot cause a fumble.
The player had demonstrable (via replay) possession of the ball.
Once he hits the ground he is down in college.
In the NFL that's an incomplete pass.
That should have been replayed.
LOL. Cheers Bear_in_RoseBear.
Halftime:
Longhorns - 16
Trojans - 10
Hook'em!
Should have faked the knee and gone deep.
Old grandpappy played for them back in the 20's.
I alway root for 'em.
