For one play??????????????????????????

It isn't just one play. Vick was suspended all of last year for some off the field stuff, including sex with a minor and serving alcohol to a minor, PLUS a drug violation.

Wow. Is that unsportsmanlike conduct, too? Can't defend yourself so you impugn the character of others?

They did for sure.

But he isn't the only one responsible for those losses either. It takes 11 guys to win, and 11 to lose.

Thank God. That primadonna is solely responsible for the Colts leaving Baltimore in the dark of night. He's a selfish punk in an entirely different way. Brought down a whole franchise out of ignorance.

They did have Bret Favre at one time and couldn't figure that one out. What makes them geniuses now?

Mind translating that one?

That is sad about Davis.

As for Marcus, his behavior was inexcusable. His sense of entitlement grew when he got a slap int he wrist for messing with underage girls (age 13, I believe).

And then there is Maurice Clarett, in big trouble for armed robbery that netted him a cellphone.

who said he even considered pulling Vick from the lineup.

My goodness, he was angry wasn't he. Moving from contemplation to consideration. WOW.

He gave Miami 17 points on his own with turnovers. Fast teams just give him problems. He's not the player his brother is. I saw Michael play VS FSU in the 2000 Sugar Bowl and while the FSU kids could all run, he was in a class by himself that night. Too bad Peter Warwick had his coming out party that night or else Tech wins that game.

Maybe.

They do give him problems, but if Miami had played the rest of the year like they played that night on defense, the BCS would be in serious trouble becuase it would have 3 undefeated teams.

At the time though, he had only started something like 8 or 9 games as a QB. Mostly by his own doing (since he got himself suspended for the 2004 season), but most QBs not named Matt Leinart are going to struggle inside of their first 10 games as a QB. It's just a fact of life.

Good sportsmanship. Like all the head-slapping the Cards did? Like the penalty the Hokies had called for a legal hit on the quarterback? Like the dual penalties called when a Cardinal repeatedly hit a Hokie in the head who was just trying to hold the Card away?

None of that matters. Sportsmanship means doing the right thing—regardless of what your opponents or the officials do.

Even if the officiating was as bad as you say, that in no way excuses a player who tries to injure another player.

I must admit, I didn't see the play in question.

Then you should quit trying to excuse it. I did see it, and it was a punk-ass despicable act on the part of Marcus Vick. If Dumervil had stomped on Vick's throwing hand they'd still be rioting in the streets of Blacksburg.

Hokie fans should be ashamed. If it weren't for his last name, Marcus would be back home.

Miami should have beaten FSU if they could have gotten anything going on offense that night although it's hard to do that when your QB gets sacked 9 times and gets whacked a bunch more times. They also lost to a G Tech team with a fast defense and a hell of a wide receiver and they simply didn't show up for the game of post game fight where they got their asses kicked in both.

With respect top Vick, this might have been his first year as the starter but don't forget that he played quite a bit in 2003.

yeah but generally playing a bit one year, not playing at all, to include not even practicing for a year in-between kinda negates any positive gains....

I'm not saying he didn't help his teammates at all, but he certainly didn't lose the game all on his own.

Miami hasn't recovered fully from the 2003 Fiesta Bowl against Ohio State.

there was no excuse for that little punk Vick to deliberatly stomp on another player like he did.

If you actually saw the play, you would know that he STEPPED on the player, not STOMPED. Vick mistakenly thought he was an offensive lineman for a minute.

Doubt it. People would be calling Vick a "crybaby" and offering to sew lace on his drawers while reminding us this is football, not soccer. If we penalize players for "stepping" on other players, we wouldn't have any linemen in the game. The first thing I was taught when I played OL was how to step on DL player's foot when they rushed in and how to push them onto a pile.

Cardinals fans should be ashamed, Hurricane fans should be ashamed, Tiger fans should be ashamed, Seminole fans should be ashamed. There's probably not a team in the country that hasn't had a player they should be ashamed of. What's your point?
