RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia Tech athletic director Jim Weaver said Tuesday that his administration was embarrassed by Marcus Vick's unsportsmanlike conduct in the Gator Bowl on Monday and that the incident will be reviewed and dealt with.
Vick, the Hokies junior quarterback and younger brother of NFL star Michael Vick, stomped on the left calf of NCAA sacks leader Elvis Dumervil of Louisville when Dumervil lay prone on the ground after tackling Vick in the second quarter of the game in Jacksonville, Fla. Vick said later it was an accident, but his version was not supported by video replays shown widely since. After the play, Vick seems to pause before walking across Dumervil's leg.
Vick was not penalized on the play, but was rebuked at halftime by quarterbacks coach Kevin Rogers, who said he even considered pulling Vick from the lineup.

Michael Vick is a great player, but not such a good man; especially when he knew he had a sexually transmittable disease and had unprotected sea with a woman who has sinced sued him.
yeah.
I am just trying to keep it on the field, so to speak. What they do off of the field is another matter to me in this case.
it's one thing to act like a moron on your own time, but it's quite another to embarrass your university or organization on the field. Michael never really has, but Marcus has done it again.
Take it from this Browns fan, I would much rather have Michael Vick than Charlie Frye at this moment. Ask me again in a couple years, but there is definitely something about Atlanta having Vick under center vs. anyone else.
Your defense needs a bit of work there in Atlanta too....but Vick needs to continue to improve, no doubt.
That was bad...thanks for the link.
ON a Sad note TCU Kicker Kasey Davis was murdered in the parking lot of his Off-campus apartment after returning from TCU's bowl game. Davis was shot in the chest from close range. A 40 yr old man is in custody.
Exactly what incident involving Michael Vick justifies that comment? I have seen no bad behavior from him. I have only seen him conduct himself with the utmost professionalism. In what universe do you live?
Wow!
yeah that sucks.....
And TCU had had such a great year up to this point....
For one play??????????????????????????
At the end of a running play, the runner spikes the tackler in the back of his knee. And in my opinion it is NOT an accident.
Just saw it. You're being silly.
And you're drunk.
Vick = Punk = Thug = Felon = Inmate
Perhaps him and Clarett can work out together in the yard.
The glorious state of affairs of many of the African American athletes in America - both college and pro which rewards this lifestyle crap they all want to be gangsta because that is cool and keepin' it real. It's a disgrace. Good luck Gentleman.
He's like a souped-up Cordell Stewart - great athelete, but poor decision-maker. But the Falcons shouldn't get rid of him unless they have a bona-fide top QB to take his place. And dem don't grow on trees!
neither VICK will ever be 1/2 the QB John Elway was
He was suspended for all of 2004 for his off field antics which included serving alcohol to minors and having sex with a girl in her mid teens.
Nah, Miami.
probably not, but neither will anyone else coming out of the colleges these days.....
actually, Peyton Manning isn't 1/2 the QB that Elway was, simply because Manning can't run the way Elway did.
What's the big deal anyway? I mean, it's not like he committed statutory rape or anything . . .
Looked like a deliberate stomp to me. Looked down and saw his target then stomped. What a lowlife.
2004 was a sad year for him in terms of character. But, the talent issue is curious. Yes, he has some but FSU and Miami exposed him badly.
