A mother in Dallas is one of several parents complaining about a new interactive book for toddlers in which Sesame Street character Elmo asks "who wants to die?" according to a Local 6 News report.
Family members said 16-month-old Miranda Boll's new book, "Potty Time With Elmo," was supposed to teach an interactive lesson using voice commands. However, when the book's buttons are pressed, it reportedly says something it is not supposed to -- "who wants to die?"
"It's a sick joke," mother Angela Bolls said. "If it's a joke then it's a bad one, you know? And it's not necessary. It's inappropriate."
Bolls said she checked another copy of the same book and found that it says something completely different; "Who wants to try to go potty?"
The company that makes the book said it has had several complaints concerning the book, according to the report.

Does this Elmo come with a little Koran and a bomb vest?
That'd be the Jihad Me Elmo.
He laughs, shakes and then flies to pieces.
Maybe it says "Who wants to try ...." and something goes wrong with the recording after that.
That is possible.
For what it is worth...
IMDB says in thr "trivia" section that it is an uncorroborated and false story that Stewie says in the theme song "makes us f'ing cry" instead of "laugh and cry."
BUT -- if you turn on the Closed Captioning it ALWAYS says "f'ing cry."
Go figure.
Somehow, I think it ties in with the threat level.
You do a passable emulation of a VIC DATASSETTE....
Check out this page. Especially the barney wavs.

Yes.
We could use them as interrogation tools.
Tell terrorists that if they do not cooperate, the ifrite and demons will scream for their souls.
Then play the datassette.
You can be quite certain it says "Who wants to try", but with those cheap EPROMs and lousy speakers, who can tell?
Elmo: Who wants to die!
Kid: You want to die, Elmo! Die, you M.F.S.O.B!
