The President and first lady returned to the White House yesterday accompanied by their daughter Barbara, and of course their pets. Before leaving Texas, the President visited Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas and spent time with wounded servicemen and women, and awarded nine Purple Hearts to U.S. troops who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Today being a Federal holiday there are no scheduled events for the President so follows Snug's Review of 2005.
Former US president George Bush is expected to visit Pakistan later this month as the United Nations special envoy for the South Asian earthquake

WOW! . . . THANK YOU for posting this incredible retrospective of our president's (and our country's) incredible year!
I plan to savor the photos more later -- after the Ohio State vs Notre Dame game . . . until then . . .!

I wish I had organized mine. My photobucket account is all political pictures labelled "pictures and then "more pictures" after I ran out of room in the first album. I'm going to have to go through and organize them sometime.

Fabulous year-end report, snugs. Thank you so much for taking the time. It's hard to believe how much has transpired in one year. It has been an extremely difficult year, and the President looks tired. Let's keep up the prayers for this extraordinary man, whom history will revere.
