the libs will make this another Watergate.

Why haven't the Republicans been out in front of this explaining that there is a HUGE difference between what Nixon did and what the NSA is doing now?

As if I had to explain, (and if I can then why can't the pubs)? Watergate was spying on your political enemy. What the NSA is doing is spying on those who would make hometown USA glow green in the middle of the night if given the chance.

Demoncraps would rather have one of our cities nuked than do what it takes to keep us safe.

They disgust me, and quite frankly, the lack of defense of our president by his own party is sickening too.

It's astounding, the NY times is fleeting
Editor madness, has taken its toll
But listen closely, not for very much longer
It's time for Justice Department, to take control

The Republicans had better develop some cajones, or the libs will make this another Watergate.

Spot On Sir!

They did the same thing with Iraq as well,we lost about 7 to 10% in Polling IMHO because they were allowed to control the debate,It sucked to see that happen.

The job of the public editor is to critique the practices, standards and culture of the newspaper, to identify and examine critical errors and omissions, and to act as a liaison to the public.

Two options for the MSM traitors:

1 - Firing squad
2 - Hanging

I'm deadly serious

Those accusing GW are part of illegal the leaking of top secret information and documents

They know they are going to be exposed and nailed

Under existing federal statutes any and all profits and other income dereived thru the publishing of confidential information is foreited to the US Treasury

The NYT licenses and access should be pulled immediately

Instant banning from any WH press conferences

Shut the traitorous SOBs down now

They are lobbying McCain to pass unconstitutional legistlation giving the press immunity from investigation and prosecution

In effect a new branch of government that is unaccountable and partners only with the democrat party

Sooner or later the public will take any actions required to correct these illegal traitorous actions - and I do not refer to boycotts or dropping subscriptions

No jury will convict anyone who takes action against a traitor to the USA

The media declared war on America and is a willing greedy traitorous partner of Al Qaeda

Time to castrate and hang these scumbags

--

On a sidenote I see that INTEL has at least one full-time employee who is working for the DNC during working hours using INTEL computers and INTEL email accounts linked to various democat websites
This is a deliberate and wilful and illegal felony violation of federal and state campaign finance and election statutes

It is an illegal under the table massive contribution by the INTEL employee and INTEL corporation itself

The article by Calame is here and your characterization is right on the money. Calame is arguing that the Times should have published before the last Presidential election, presumably in a manner meant to hurt Bush. His tin foil insinuation that Sulzberger and Keller withheld to help Bush is looney tunesville.

Thanks. I bet he feels empowered.....

Somehow I think the public editor is supposed to be a patronage appointment and the employee should remember that and say nothing ( at least according to upper management anyway ).

Actually Nixon didn't do anything wrong either. Yes Nixon was spying on the democrats, but only because he believed the democratic party had been infiltrated by communists... which it had.

Unless the GOP changes its usual weak-kneed behavior, they're going to get away with it, too.

Disagree. 70% of the population side with the President on this one. This story is effectively over for the Media, except for the upcoming jailing of reporters for not revealing sources, and the upcoming charges and convictions against the leakers.

This story is a definate win for our side and a disaster for the MSM and the Democrats.

Thankyou! Thankyou! I was starting to get very frustrated. I'm not so sure that I'm willing to just trust NewsMax on this one, and, a lot of the posters here are gettin' way off track. Although I agree with them. I do think that NewsMax and Michelle Malkin "cherry-picked" Calame's article to just show the points they wanted to make. I'm kinda surprised at MM today. She's usually much better than that! But,,, I'm still hopelessly in love with her!

Calame was mad about one thing and only one thing- the NY Times didn't publish the story before the presidential election. He had absolutely no problem with the national security information being leaked and he was adamant the leakers identity be protected. Calame was pissed the Times didn't do more to politically damage Bush.
