Handguns have been banned in NYC for many years.That's news to one of my best friends who practices regularly at the West Side Rifle & Pistol Range at 20 W 20TH St., New York, NY 10011-4213 (212) 929-7287. Parking is no problem after 6 PM on Friday evenings.

Since the late 1800's (1890 I think - the Sullivan law) ... they also had a law that stated "use a gun, go to jail" and it's the first thing they (the DA) plea bargins away ....
