Another hot ticket was Odeon Films and B.C. PWAs premiere screening of Brokeback Mountain. B.C. Persons With AIDS Society chair Paul Lewand welcomed a full house to the benefit showing. The epic American love story from Academy Award-winning filmmaker Ang Lee, based on the short story by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Annie Proulx, had the Fifth Avenue Cinema audience all hot and buttered. More bothered than buttered, Lewand is also currently embroiled in a dispute (along with artist Tiko Kerr and gay priest Michael Forshaw) with Health Canada to have compassionate access to the experimental HIV drugs TMC 114 and TMC 125.

"The epic American love story"
Must be skeered.... and hard not to laugh
Chi com director makes asses out of Americans...insults Wyoming and the American cowboy legacy.
The whole story line is total B.S. these sodomites weren't even cowboys...
This is the Hollywood sodomite revenge for Mathew Shepherd and another foray into trying to mainstream perversion while at the same time persuade young minds while creating a sodomite cult classic.
Wonder if the chi com is also a sodomite or just an agent of social anarchy working in his little red brother's behest?
I saw the trailer the other day and it made me want to vomit, just the idea...
Alternative Titles:
Gone with the Sheep
Homo on the Range
Bareback Mountin
