Threats force Muslim youth retreat to meet at secret location Careerbuilder
December 31, 2005, 2:49 PM EST
LITHIA, Fla. -- A weekend church retreat for young Muslims was moved to a secret location after Internet bloggers alleged a scheduled speaker had terrorist ties, prompting death threats.
The three-day event was to be held at the rural Presbyterian Cedarkirk Camp and Conference Center to teach youth leadership skills and core religious studies. However, reports began to appear on Web logs that Mazen Mokhtar, a North Brunswick, N.J., man scheduled to speak, had ties to al-Qaida.
"Nothing rings in the new year like bringing your kids to hang out with a bunch of terrorists," one blogger wrote on a site called Ace of Trump.
Another posted an obviously doctored photo showing a masked terrorist standing in front of the Cedarkirk sign.
Federal agents searched Mokhtar's home in 2004, after a man in London was arrested for using a Web site to fund terrorist groups. An identical Web site was registered under Mokhtar's name, but he was never arrested.
On Friday, Mokhtar, a computer programmer, said he ran a business selling server space to host Web sites. He said never knew what the site in question contained.
"It is not my position now, nor has it ever been my position, that a Muslim should ever attack an innocent person," he said.
The Rev. Debbie Bronkema, Cedarkirk's director, said she received threats. After contacting the FBI and the sheriff's office, she decided to close the center for the weekend.
Mohamed Moharram, president of the Muslim American Society of Tampa, said the retreat would occur at an alternate site. But he wouldn't give the address, citing security concerns.
"We got threats to be burned, to be destroyed," he said. "It's appalling.

Are Presbyterians Christians?
Sponsoring an Islamo-Nazi indoctrination session?
Liberal end-stage mainstream Protestant insanity. And they wonder why their membership flees and the evangelical movement grows.
Ok, which one of you did it?
Hmmm...... he says:

Spin Speak which really means they don't consider us Innocent at all, IMHO.....
Exactly. They don't consider Americans to be innocent, so it's off with our heads.
Yes, Virginia, Presbyterians can be Christian. I am a Christian, and a Presbyterian (PCA). Unfortunately, the Presbyterian Church United States of America (PCUSA) has become over-run with the liberals and leftists and loonies.

Just plug the guys name into your search engine and you might be surprised what turns up! This is not the first time he's been uhh...uncovered?
I know there are a few really good Fact Finder Freepers out there that can check this iman's credentials.
Of course his definition of "innocent" maybe more Koranic than yours or mine.
Ecumenicalism. But I bet they don't allow the Boy Scouts to use their facilities.
Like strapping on a bomb and blowing oneself up? Anyone else find this whole idea a sick joke? And I suppose the Islama-whackos are reciprocating and allowing a Christian group to tour Mecca and Medina?
That just jumps off the page doesn't it?
Nor is it his position that he is compelled to answer thruthfully when questioned by an infidel.
< Of course his definition of "innocent" maybe more Koranic than yours or mine. >
Add to that the fact that the Koran says they can lie to infidels.
To Muslims all are guilty and deserve death even their own mothers, sisters and wives for minor religious transgressions.
Infidels? especially Christians and Jews...
Fugeddaaboddit.
It's the Religion of Death...
imo
