Nothing like mixing your golden brown sauerkraut with your buttery mashed potatoes. Mmmmmm, good. ha,ha. Ohmygosh! You just reminded me of "Bubbles and Squeak" - rolled "balls" of mashed potatoes, with sauerkraut woven inside. I first ate them in Simpson's on the Strand - a wonderful restaurant in London. My mouth is watering and you've inspired me to attempt a copy ASAP!

Bubble and squeak left over cabbage and mashed potato fried up the next day for breakfast a great British tradition that sadly is dying out.
