They say they are fighting for their friend and bar/restaurant owner but as soon as they can't smoke there anymore they stop going. I stopped smoking six years ago. Not one thing that the government did regarding restrictions or taxes, nor one thing that well intentioned non-smokers told me had a thing to do with my quitting. This is one ex-smoker who will fight to the death for the rights of bar and restaurant owners to run their business as they see fit. I will patronize them, or not, based upon the way they are conducting business. If they wany my business, they will cater to me; if not, I will go somewhere where they will. It's as simple as that.
This is a property rights issue and, without property rights, no other rights are possible (quoting A. Rand).

Good for you, not being able to breathe will convince you in a hurry, won't it. I had childhood asthma and I remember not being able to catch my breath, it is scary. The only thing that triggers my asthma now is tobacco smoke, so I avoid it as much as possible.
