Happy New Years all Freepers!!!
We'll be having pork and sauerkraut tomorrow.
We have pork on New Years Day, because a pig "roots forward" into the new year. A chicken scratches back, so you never want to have chicken on New Years Day.
Heard this growing up in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Heard this growing up in Erie, Pennsylvania. I was fortunate to get me a wife from Erie (11th Street then 4th Street)
Enjoyed my visits - the Peninsula is great. Had a January visit with 30" of snow on the ground.
But, all in all, I am glad mt sweetie agreed to locate in EastTennessee
