Just announced on Fox News, the Justice Department is going to investigate leaks pertaining to Goverment Wiretapping and Security programs.
Don't forget there is at least a little question mark re: Lambreth (sp) and his connections while serving on the FISA court.... the President may have had very good reasons for going around FISA.
They are in enormous trouble and don't realize it. I can't wait to see their reactions when they are charged and indicted.
One aspect of the Rather story was that other MSM outlets jumped on CBS. The question is will another faction attack the NY Times?
Poor aunt.
I'd be very surprised if the DOJ prosecuted any from the NY Times. Free speech and all that. Lends itself too handily to endless sound bytes.
I think the DOJ, if God is in his heaven, will go after the LEAKERS. And I'm very convinced those leakers are congress critters.
As you indicate, some RINOS are going to be targeted. John McCain, that media darling who invites everyone from Russert to Rather to his birdthday parties for God's sake, HAS to pay them back for their favorable coverage, eh?
In fact, I'm pretty sure the admin has known about McCain's leaking for a while but hey, the guy IS a Republican, or sorts. I think the admin held off going after these leakers because they knew McCain was going to come up, they McCain is adored by the media, and they knew they would take a beating on it.
Also, if I were to take bets, I'd say Jay Rockefeller's going to take a long walk off of a short pier as well. Again, I think the admin held off going after the Lords in America's House of Lords because other Lords defended them.
There's going too far and there's going too far and these people have just gone too far. The American public has risen over these leaks and boom, the admin simply cannot allow these Lords to continue betraying the country.
They are not whistleblowers. They are seditious, traitorous criminals.
That was my thoughts as well but in W's case the people he called out would still be alive the next day.
I saw that too, got sidetracked on this thread. Gregoire strikes again! Cut a deal with the unions and force the ouster of those refusing to pay union dues.
per Fox News - FBI is also involved in investigating the leaks. NYT and the source for the NYT are the focus...
Frog Marched?
I would settle for beaten with rods out of town, then tarred and feathered.... :)
That's correct -- my friend, who is retired from Hughes, was an executive secretary in their International Division and she had to have a secret clearance..... another friend worked at Loral in Engineering -- had to have a secret clearance.
Just saw it. I can't wait to read their editorial tomorrow.
In any case "whistleblowing" implies the unveiling of criminal activity, which there isn't here.
My guess is the leaker list contains Senatorial aids.
I'm sure these imbeciles could be convinced by their neo-com masters that "whistle-blowing" about the NSA is "what's right for the country" "Oh, and by the way, we'll pay for your legal defense, Chuckie over at the DSCC is already paying for those who illegally obtained Steele's credit report."
Anyone who believes that guy resigned over a qualm of conscience raise your hand. Because I've got a bridge for sale, cheap.
I'll go even further. I think this guy, Robertson I believe is his name, is on the TAKE from some folks who wear tablecloths on their head.
Now they say the FBI is involved. I would bet they have been looking into this for a while, the reason they went public is because they now have some hard leads to follow.
And a few arses to fry.
"One aspect of the Rather story was that other MSM outlets jumped on CBS. The question is will another faction attack the NY Times?"
No..they will circle the wagons like you predicted. Chrissy Matthews will parade around wrapped in DNC talking points and CNN will parade around the lawyers for Padilla...lol
