A man trimming trees was killed after he apparently was pulled into a wood chipper, police said.
The tree-service employee died Wednesday while he and a co-worker were cutting branches at a Loveland residence, Police Sgt. Rae Bontz said.
"It appears he was pulled into the chipper," Bontz said. He described the death as an industrial accident but released no other details, saying police were investigating.

Yeah, this is really a sad moment. I'm sure everyone involved is all torn up about this.
Not torn up as much as Mr. Darwin here, but tore up, nonetheless.
Holy cats! That's a Burnt Umber Sierra!
Uggggh.
"I used to work for a company that sold a line of chippers. . "
Ever get calls you worred about?
Like a guy who says he has no trees, but wants to make sure it'll take care of a "cow femur" ?
A kid in my hometown lost an arm in a hay baler.
Thank God no...but we would get "off the wall" brands of chippers that we so rigged and had safety features bypassed that it's almost amazing accidents don't happen more often.

Not clear if this was top-loading or chute-loading
chipper.
There is a safety bar designed to stop the chipper's cutter drum when contacted by the lower body of the operator; it actuates a caliper brake on a large disk and will upset the chipper itself if not attached to the truck used to tow it.
OSHA will be all over this one.
I know a guy who was stepping over the PTO on a tractor once. We call him one nut willie today.
"E's pinin for the fiords of Norway."
"This is Denmark, you twit."
There's an attorney somewhere who will make a bundle off of this.
In college (this was pre-caller-ID), my friends and I would prank call chemical or other supply companies:
"You have big drums of sulphuric acid? How strong? How much does it weigh? Can I fit it in a truck? Will it disolve a body, er a big dog? Even fillings? Yeah, the dog had fillings."
Etc.
That's cold.
Ghastly thing to happen. TWO identical incidents happened here in Tampa in the past year or so.
All righty, then.
Doubtful. The local paper thinks he was the owner of the tree-trimming company.
Afterward it was all piece and quiet.
LOL...every time I see a 55 gallon drum I think of Jeffery Dahmer...(shudder). Unfortunately where I work, they are stacked by the pallet loads!
I like black comedy as much as anyone, but the way these stories are used as props to solicit bad puns kind of sucks.
Whatever you do, people, don't think about this man's family or his children. It might spoil all the fun you're all having at his expense.
