The articles says that, according to the traditional rotation, the next Secretary General will come from Asia. Two possible candidates are Sri Lankan diplomat Jayantha Dhanapala and Thailand's Foreign Minister Surakiart Sathirathai.

The U.S. is reported to favor Polish President Aleksander Kwasnewski.

The UN has outlived it's usefullness, and needs to be mercifully put down, like the old dog that it is. The world will be a better place after it's gone.

Kwasnewski is a commie. Actually, it might be a good idea to send WJC there - maybe they'll devour him. We might even toss a few bottles of Worcestershire and Tabasco sauces in the bargain.

Yeah baby keep the corruption, graft and outright thievery coming. Put Bill Clinton is power at the u.n. and then you'd get to see that koffee anan is really a lightweight crook.

I would guess that the U.N. will be headed by someone that everyone can like and respect. It will herald the beginning of the end as more folks get sucked into the black morass of a "unified world".
