1. Sen. Lincoln Chafee (R.I.) Once approached by Democratic Leader Harry Reid to switch parties, Chafee has long supported liberal policies. He backs legal abortion, gay rights, federal-funded health care, strict environmental protections and a higher minimum wage. Opposes ANWR drilling. Also was the only Republican in Congress not to endorse the Presidents reelection and one of three who tried to gut Bushs tax cuts.
2. Sen. Olympia Snowe (Maine) A self-described centrist, Snowe scored a 100% pro-choice voting record as scored by NARAL and consistently votes with Democrats on social issues.
3. Sen. Arlen Specter (Pa.) Snarlin Arlen warned Bush not to nominate judges who might overturn Roe v. Wade, joined Chaffee reducing tax cuts and supported Democrats on the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty, HMO and overtime regulation. Also opposed school choice in Washington, D.C.

Since you didn't get a reply, here is one: you are right. If it weren't for Rino's like Snowe and Collins, Maine would have two Dims in the Senate. If it weren't for Chaffee, Rhode Island would have another Jack Reid in the Senate. It's sad, because these one-time Republican states deserve better, but it is certainly true.
The only consolation I can take from the RINO situation is this. If they were replaced by Democrats, which is the only other real option, Dingy Harry and Nancy Pelosi would control Congress and Bush wouldn't be able to prosecute the WOT, cut taxes, or do anything else that requires Congressional approval.
Bush has no one to blame but HIMSELF for Senator Arlen Specter. Instead of campaigning for Pat Toomey, whom some here have said was a Real conservative (I don't know since I don't live in PA), he campaigned for "Snarlin' Arlen" and this person, once elected, turned on Bush like a pit bull!
Exactly! We would have RATs if not for these people.
Facts are facts...back in the '60s, when he was counted on to provide an air defense role for his country during the peak of the Cold War, Bush transferred from the Texas ANG to the Alabama ANG to aid an Alabama Republican (forget who it was) in his gubernatorial bid. In doing so, he shirked his drills as a Texas Guard pilot as the 'Bama ANG was ground support unit. I am a retired member of the Navy Reserve and vividly recall a period when my work required me to be temporarily transferred to another state for a period of seven months...guess what, the Navy did not allow my transfer to the other state's reserve unit as my military specialty was deemed critical to the unit I was in (requiring me to fly back at considerable personal expense) so I am "curious" to learn how Bush was able to accomplish his nearly two-year absence from his Texas unit?
BTTT
Ross MeCain, The Media Maverick Candidate!
Of course I guess one of McCain's great achievements this year was the Al Qaeda's Bill of Rights! He should be very proud of that. Of course it will put him in favor with the MSM which is what McCain is always more interested in.
Personally, from my state of Arizona we only have one true Republican Senator in the name of Senator Kyl.
Leave troll.
Not a troll...been here longer than you have!
Al Qaeda's Bill of Rights?
How in the world can you consider "campaing finance," restricting your right to free speech during the campaings, to be "minor stuff?"
What else in the Constitution do you consider to be "minor?"
The Second Amendment? The Fourth?
...and, incidentally, I voted for Bush (mainly because Kerry was unacceptable).
Oh, sorry. But how do you explain this:
"Former ardent McCain supporter because of CFR, now disgruntled sidelines fan because of 2nd Amendment stance..."
Seems as though you should change former to current.
What's the threshold in Freeperdom for a 'RINO?' Somebody who disagrees with you more than 5% of the time?
Yes, the Torture Ban Bill.
That's right! And because we have a Republican majority, we've finally gotten a handle on deficit spending!
No, wait...
Our government is strinking!
Ummm...
Okay, well the Bush tax cuts are definately permanent!
No? Oh...
With a Republican majority we won't have to worry about the Farm bill or the Medicare plan or CFR or the Highway bill or...
Errr...okay, I give up. What, exactly, has a Republican majority in the Senate gotten us?
I do not know how you can call the First Amendment minor. Campaign finance should be called First Amendment reform.
Come on people! We can live with most of these people because we HAVE to. My problem is those who take a high profile in sticking it to the GOP(Specter). There is nothing wrong with those who do what they have to to reflect their constituents(Pataki/Romney). I say get them elected ONCE and when they show their true colors pick ONE and show them who is BOSS. 2004 was Specters time and NOBODY showed up to vote against him in the primary. Next year I say take it out on the wuss from R.I.
My other issue with RINO'S are those from GOP states tho don't toe the line(Graham/Hagel). It's doable.
Your numbers 6 and 9 are BUNK!!!!!
