Oh, sorry. But how do you explain this:

"Former ardent McCain supporter because of CFR, now disgruntled sidelines fan because of 2nd Amendment stance..."

Seems as though you should change former to current.

I support his McCain's vision because:
1. I am appalled at the level of spending by the federal government and I do NOT want my grandchildren to be responsible for this increasing debt.
2. I do not understand why this administration insists on expanding the government (i.e. with acts such as No Child Left Behind, and a whole new Cabinet Department--Homeland Defense--when, if current departments such as CIA, FBI, etc., were held accountable we would not need it; and why incompetent, obsolete agencies--BIA, DEA, FCC--are allowed to continue).
3. Why we cannot go to a flat tax rate.
4. Why troops went into battle without armored vests.
Why immigration laws are not enforced.
5. Why harsh torture of captured enemies would EVER be defended when there are better humane and more productive methods to get information (incidentally, McCain has advocated the use of waterboarding as a non-torture method).
6. Why Russia's Putin is embraced as a "friend".
7. Why a personal and unqualified lawyer was ever considered for the SC.
8. Why ex-FEMA head Brown, who falsified his resume', ever got an important and critical job in the administration.
9. Why Trent Lott was hung out to dry over an innocuous and innocent remark about a 100-year-old icon of the Senate.
10 and why religious zealots and kooks like Pat Robertson are entertained and supported.
