Ranked by the editors of Human Events
1. Sen. Lincoln Chafee (R.I.)
Once approached by Democratic Leader Harry Reid to switch parties, Chafee has long supported liberal polices. He backs legal abortion, gay rights, federal-funded health care, strict environmental protections and a higher minimum wage. Opposes ANWR drilling. Also was the only Republican in Congress not to endorse the President's reelection and one of three who tried to gut Bush's tax cuts.

he's more dangerous to the nation because of his voting
Can't argue that one. He more than a "maverick."
Bill Frist. Where the hell is that ^$&*%$*%^#$% spineless waste of oxygen Bill Frist on this list?
Leaving John McCain's name off this list
The list are RINOs. He votes with Republicans over 80% of the time. You can't call him a RINO.
A whack job maybe..........., but not RINO.
He's a doctor...he could at least try a spine transplant...
I agree. The Republicans have had their chance. Let's put another party in power.
I hate to point this out, ladies and gentlemen, but:
They're a vote. They caucus with us. They give us Republican committee chairmen, and insure that the Republican bills come to the floor, and the Democrat amendments do not.
That's the way politics work. If you want to be pure, you'll have to start a commune.
You are right I would rather have them p---ing out of our tent
Yup, that's how you get Chairmanships and run the agenda.
If someone votes with you more than 50% of the time, then he is not a RINO.
Now if we could dump Frist as leader and get Lott back in we would push a more "right" looking agenda.
Bush's cult of personality must have a good health plan. Nice work.
Wish I could claim credit for it.
A picture is worth a thousand words.
From the large number of names put on this list, it seems to me that it would be easier to make a list of conservative republicans? IMHO, we desparately need term limits to break up this good old boy network of politicians who concern themselves mostly with getting re-elected!
LOL!!!
They left out the OBVIOUS #1 on the RINO parade - Sen. John McCain. The author even dings one congressman for supporting McCain-Feingold but fails to name the RINO who personifies McCain-Feingold, namely McCain!
McCain may not be as liberal as some of the others named here but in terms of thwarting Bush's agenda, whether it be on the Wat on Terror, or tax cuts, or the budget or the nuclear option on judges, the #1 thorn in the side is always John McCain.
Leaving him off a list of Top 10 RINOs is like leaving Nolan Ryan off a list of Top 10 strikeout pitchers.
Just a glaringly obvious omission which makes the entire exercise worthless.
Oh good! You just saved me from having to read the thread!! Your's was the first reply I spotted and if the parameters for being a RINO are what I spotted above, then I know you're being very careful to keep this very vague and ambiguous as to what makes a RINO like our RINO/CELEBRITY/GASBAG Gubernor Arnold SchwartzenRenegger!!!
He thinks now that doing the right thing with Tookie will get all his leftist tendencies forgiven by conservative Cauleeforneeahns... Phhhht!!!
George W. Bush returns in triumph from meeting with Vincente Fox where he made a deal to secure the border.
More importantly, his voting record in the 109th Congress is a dismal 50% CONSTITUTIONAL
Thanks, not been to that site before.
My Sen. Judd Gregg is a true conservative (fiscal and social). He only scored 60%.
