Bush to Shake up Team
Posted on 12/25/2005 4:11:34 PM PST by TRY ONE
Heard from a reliable source that Bush is going to shake up his Staff after New Year. As a minimum Andy Card is going to be replaced by Bush's best friend and former Commerce Secetary, Don Evans. More later.

Well, if so, this will give the pundits weeks and weeks of speculation.

Whoever is advising Bush to finally fight back, as he has so brilliantly the past 2 weeks, should be put firmly in charge.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Andy Card exit, but I would be surprised to see Don Evans move back to Washington.

Heard from a reliable source that Bush is going to shake up his Staff after New Year. I've been hearing "reliable source" things like this since 2003. How can this possibly be any different?

Ditto....though Don Evans would do anything for this prez - a true any-weather friend.
To: Txsleuth
Putin offered Evans the position of the Chairman of The Board of the oil giant,Rosneft. Evans turned it down for several reasons, one of which is that Bush asked him to take over in the White House.

And you're basing that conclusion on what? What the MSM says? Andy's not going anywhere.

I agree. It IS interesting how speculation abounds at various times. I don't know why W supporters cannot just let happen what's going to happen. No matter who Bush replaces, IF anyone, I'm sure it will be fine. Besides, the pressures in DC are huge and it's a surprise more people don't burn out at a faster rate.

First job requirement....have them drop their drawers to see if they are appropriately plumbed to meeting the "got balls" requirement.
Then, give'm a squeeze to see if they get a strong response.

I live in Texas and talked with some of the relatives of the noted people over Christmas --- But who the hell knows, things could change. But for now, I believe the source is very solid.

I am basing that on what John Fund said throughout the Miers nomination process.
Fund was the first to say Miers would be withdrawn and that Card was being pushed aside for pushing this blunder.
