My hunch is that Hillary is happy as the democratic senator from New York, and she doesn't really want to run. My other hunch is that she will sink like a stone when she campaigns nationally.
If you vote third party, Hillary will be elected president.
It's worse than that. The results of the last two presidential elections tell us that if you fail to vote for the Republican nominee, the Democrat nominee will be elected president. If Ralph Nader had not run in 2000, our 9/11 president would have been Al Gore.

The true test of that theory, and I agree with you, is if McCain is the candidate.
Um, my link was back to post 71, where I answered your question. Unless you honestly believe that anybody here thinks that Dr. Rice performs abortions, you are stuck on semantics. Maybe you are unclear with the term?
So you are saying that a democratic president is an acceptable alternative?
If you can't decide between a guy with an 80% lifetime conservative rating and an evil marxist from hell, then you deserve the evil marxist from hell. You guys can have Hillary, the rest of us will gladly take McCain over the beast.
Have fun with your socialist Hillycare system and mandatory abortion laws. We won't be getting any of that in the McCain adminstration.
In a two-party system, the responsible citizen is forced to hold his nose and choose the lesser of two evils. Failure to do so (even in an effort to make a point) is akin to voting for the worse candidate.
Understand that the way you win elections is by uniting coalitions. For a sizable percentage of conservatives, abortion is a more important issue than terrorism. Deal with this and move on to another candidate.
McCain is pro-life and has consistantly voted pro-life his entire career. Condi is pro-abortion. The "Hillary is better than McCain" crowd pathelogical insanity has nothing to with abortion. They CLAIM it's about McCain-Feingold, but Zig Zag Zell Miller LOVED McCain-Feingold and they still worship Zig Zag anyway.
Go figure.
If this is damaging to the Clintons, why is John Kerry one of the ones trying so hard to suppress it?
Nobody here prefers Clinton to McCain. What we are saying is that moderate Republicans will fail to garner the Conservative base needed to win a close election.
Please, haven't we had enough of the Bush family? I really don't think we need another family dynasty in America. Besides, what is Jeb's stand on open borders? That, and how we treat Isreal are the issues for me.
Want to be I can post some quotes from "conservative" freepers who say they hope Hillary wins if McCain is the nominee? We already have plenty of posts on this thread alone saying they will "stay home" or "vote third party" if it's McCain vs. Hillary.
Still waiting for your responce on the other thread after you wanted "proof" that McCain voted the "right way" on key issuses to justify his 80% lifetime conservative score.
McCain may be an arrogant media whore, but his voting record on the issues is FAR better than ANY Democrat Governor or Senator -- INCLUDING Zig Zag Zell Miller.
When the people who SUPPOSEDLY hate McCain over Campaign Finance Reform start condemning Zig Zag Zell for having the SAME position on that issue, then they might have SOME crediblity.
Until then, the "I hate McCain" crowd simply gives folky southern RATs a pass as long as they endorse Bush and CLAIM to be conservative.
It's sad that some so-called "conservatives" on this board would support an abortion-loving marxist (Hillary, Warner, etc.) over McCain. If they prefer marxists so much, they should join the RAT party and be done with it.
Which is why his candidacy makes sanse. That point becomes moot when he is running against the wife of a former president.
Jeb is smarter and more conservative than his older brother. The open border debate has nothing to do with national security. It is grounded in protectionism for worker's unions and fostered by racism. But sinced you asked, his record shows him taking a harsher stance on illegal immigration than his brother.
