A liberal lawyer in Los Angeles is threatening to throw nearly three dozen homeless center residents back on the streets because of something he finds indefensible: The center's founder is a Republican and voted for President Bush.
(Excerpt) Read more at newsmax.com ...
The Republican who runs the shelter, on the other hand, sounds like a great guy. He needs some help, so keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming appeal to help save the shelter, called Dome Village.
Truly both incredible and disgusting---but that's the Democrats for you---hypocrites all the way.
Party of compassion.
Thanks for posting this.
Racism is alive and well and living in the Democrat party.
Ted Hayes is black. How much you wanna bet Sinister Sidley is white?
This is one of the best/worst Grinch/typical hypocrite 'Rat bastard/liberal slime stories I've ever read.
Merry Christmas, Mr. Hayes. Too bad you were born black and live your life without hypocrisy ... and decided to become a Republican. You'll be a target for the rest of your life.
Just remember the source of the story. There may be more here than meets the eye. The guy is quoted as saying he's "tired of supporting Ted and his Dome Village", but he is not quoted as saying "because he's a Republican". It could be true, but I am going to suspend judgement until I hear it from a source other than Newsmax.
The slave must be pusnished for leaving the plantation.
Look closely and you can see my total lack of surprise: ---> <---
The homeless mean absolutely nothing to the left except when they are useful as pawns to attack conservatives.
=snip=
Two days later, Sidley decided to raise the rent at Justiceville’s "Dome Village” from $2,500 per month to $18,333 per month because, he states, "This Democrat is tired of supporting Ted and his Dome Village
Just coincidence then that he jacked up the rent by over 600% shortly after finding out his political affiliation?
Also, here's a previous FR thread about Ted Hayes: Rasta Republican

It would be interesting to know what the fair market rent for the premises would be. Fair market refers to a price that buyer (tenant) and seller (landlord) would agree upon if neither was under undue pressure.
I suspect that while fair market may be a bit higher than the original lease, the increase is punitive. Many localities protect residential tenants against unconscionable increases, but I've never heard of a rent control law covering commercial property.
A shelter is a residence, but the fact that it is a rental also makes it a business. Dome Village needs a pro-bono lawyer to sort it out.
I'd like to read a follow-up on this story if someone could ping me to it id appreciate it. Newsmax doesn't always get all the facts. Certainly intruiging....
Worth repeating. I saw on one of these threads, someone who posted some ridiculous posts from the DU site, The 3rd Annual 10 Worst Quotes from DU. One of those posts had a post from one of those DUmmies had a rainbow avatar with a tagline claiming that conservatism is "engaged in the oldest exercises in moral philosphy; that is, the the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness".
Yet, here is a Democrat, hiking the rent on a homeless shelter all because the owner of that shelter is a Republican. I remember reading here, during the Hurricane Katrina mess where someone posted a post from some DUmmy reporting on the DU website how she saw a woman and child stranded and she was about to help them but, because that woman had a Bush bumper sticker on her vehicle, the "compassionate", "selfless" DUmmy drove past her, leaving the woman and child stranded. This was celebrated by the Democrats on that site and I'll bet this rent "hike" will be celebrated also.
These people are in the truest sense of the word, HYPOCRITES! They need to learn compassion before they proceed to preach to others about it.
"until I hear it from a source other than Newsmax."
Wise indeed!

Milton Sidley is also mentioned in some large commercial land deals, in legal work suing a landlord on behalf of a tenant, and in some other real-estate related work.
I understand. Newsmax tends to hyperventilate. However, the quote isn't quite as you wrote it. You left off the part where he says, "This democrat is tired of supporting" et cetera, et cetera.
